PAST: Classical Figure Drawing at BAM with Martijn Caspar Swart

With more than five years intensive academic drawing and painting study and more than a decade of professional painting thereafter Martijn has much to offer students at all levels of expertise.

We will begin with a graphite figure drawing class where we will go through all the steps involved in beginning a block-in to the final three dimensional rendering. Starting with demonstrations at each stage and personal critiques throughout your ample time working from the live model. We have a great nude model and will set the pose in advance based on classical composition and make certain that each easel is well positioned.
