Exploring Montana’s rivers and their influence on western fine art, Catch & Release will show how we interact and appreciate the natural environment of our water, riparian plants, fish, insects, & landscapes beyond the sport of Fly Fishing.

Saturday June 6th from 10am-4pm at Haynes Pavilion, GCFG

Exhibit 25: Bozeman-High Lights: See the Bozeman High School Art Club’s Permanent collection of professional artist’s work. Curated by the Art Club with help from BAM Member, Ross Rodgers, see 40 selections from the clubs 400 pieces.

Exhibit 24: New Frontiers: Contemporary, Abstract, & Digital Artwork: From artificial intelligence and digital experimentation to 3-D printing, abstract painting, and sculptural light works, the show celebrates innovation while remaining deeply rooted in the human desire for expression and meaning.

Exhibit 23: Plein Air Montana 2025: Thirty artist from across the country were invited to participate in the week long painting competition in Bozeman, Montana between July 20th-26th. Artist’s lived in Bozeman for the week and painted the local views, buildings, mountains, & rivers of Gallatin & Park counties. 

Exhibit 22: Bozeman Botanicals: Distance & Details: Featuring plant studies from microscopic details to wide satellite landscapes & everything in between. See Russell Chatham, J.H. Sharp, Malou Flato, Nic Fischer, & more.

Exhibit 21: Robert Osborn: ROBERT OSBORN has been photographing for nearly half a century. Opening reception is at 5-7 pm on 3.28.25. The Street People of the reservation, with humor and affection, call themselves ‘Moosie Gang.’ This exhibit is to share their stories.

Exhibit 20: Bozeman Collects: Bozeman Collects brings the treasured collected artwork of Bozeman’s locals into the public eye. Find work by Warhol, Goya, Lasansky, & Dalí along side local artists, unique gems of history, & much more. The exhibit opens January 3rd and ends March 15th.

Exhibit 19: BAM ’89ers: Named for Montana’s founding in 1889, this exhibit features 33 nationally renowned artists as part of our inaugural BAM artist’s club group.

Exhibit 18: Bozeman Weaver’s Guild: Local Bozeman weaver’s displayed & sold their weavings during this educational exhibit featuring the different steps of using a loom and the intricate pattern making & creative mixed media included in their work.

Exhibit 17: Plein Air Montana 2024: Artists were invited to paint Gallatin County for the week of July 28th- August 3rd. All work was on display and for sale at BAM from August 3rd – August 30th.

Exhibit 16: Glacier Revisited: Featuring lithographs, prints, and paintings of Glacier National Park. A history based exhibit featuring a vintage poster collection of the park and paintings from local artist.  Opening April 19th – July 20th, 2024

Exhibit 15: Art Embodied: In a world saturated with digital filters and curated online personas, what does it truly mean to see one another? Opening January 5th – April 6th, 2024

Exhibit 14: Himalaya: Where ancient cultures converge. Curated by Ross Rodgers. Opening September 8th – December 15th, 2023

Bozeman Art Museum is a non-profit art museum with the mission to Educate, Enrich, and Inspire the Bozeman community.

Through our in-school art program, free community classes, artist meet & greets, lectures, & events like the Art Fair and Plein Air Montana, we hope to teach the next generation of creatives, connect artists and the community, and create environments for creation.
