Plein Air Montana 2024 – Artist Applications
Deadline for submissions is April 22nd. Decisions will be made by April 27th.
Live painting events hosted in Bozeman MT, July 28th – Aug. 31st. Opening Reception will be held Aug. 3rd at 5pm at the Bozeman Art Museum. Deadline for submissions is April 22nd. Decisions will be made by April 27th and artist will be notified by 5pm that day. The event is open to all artists nationally 18 years and older with plein air experience.
Events schedule, jurying information, etc. will be updated here once they are set.
Application requirements
Please email portfolio images and both PDF items to emlyn@bozemanartmuseum.org for review. You will receive a confirmation email within three days of applying.
- One time application fee of $35 for submission to be considered. Click purchase link below and payment will be matched to the email application.
- 3 – 5 professional-quality images of plein air artwork in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Images should include the title of the piece in the file name. Images should be cropped to only include the artwork.
- PDF Document with the title, dimensions, medium and price of your pieces as well as artist email, current residing location, and website if applicable.
- PDF Resume/CV including Plein Air Experience and any relevant residencies, shows, or grants.
Note: By entering this show the artist consents to promotional use of their accepted artwork. All artwork must be for sale by artist. BAM will take a 40% commission from all artist sales during event. All work not sold will remain property of the artist. Artist must be present for check in on July 28th.
