My passion for Art started at a very young age and has not stopped to this day. I enjoyed seeing the emotions people received and the attention that I would receive that I desperately needed as a child. Even though I had many years creating art followed by selling art and getting recognized, there was still something missing. It wasn’t until a few years ago when I went deep into my past and uncovered the reason, I even started to create Art. From the age of 6 to 18 yrs old I was physically abused, to an extent I did not want to live. Fortunately, a neighbor realized what was going on and took me under her wing and introduced me to the Arts. This is where I realized I could express myself by creating Art that would bring a smile and Joy to the viewer, something I desired my entire young Life. It was difficult to uncover those memories and even share, but this is when my Art made an amazing change and my voice as an Artist began to develop. I now know why and how some of the best songs are written and the best art created. It’s not only from talent but from the deep cuts and wounds that this life brings. I don’t create Art for Art’s sake; I create it because it saved my life. My new Oil Paintings, drawings and mixed media paintings express the passion with every brush stroke and a desire to bring positive energy and life into the collector’s home.
